EXTRA TIME's FIRST SESSION ORGANISED
The first Bristol Rovers over 60s Extra Time session has been arranged for TUESDAY 20th OCTOBER kicking off at 10am here at The Memorial Stadium, and finishing around 12pm. There is a minimal cost of £2 for the session.
This first session will act as an informal introduction to what Extra Time is about and what we are looking to achieve over these initial 30 weeks. We see this as a very positive programme in developing our links with our local community and we look to forward to working with people over 60 years of age.
There will be tea, coffee and refreshments available all morning.
If you are interested in attending this great project please register your interest by phoning Peter Aitken on 0117 9522581 or email peteraitken@bristolroverscommunity.org.uk or download the registration form here but please still phone Peter on 0117 9522581 to book onto the session, and then bring the form with you on Tuesday 20th October at 10am.
Please do not just turn up as initial numbers are limited. Please simply phone Peter on 0117 9522581 to register for the session.
Extra Time is new project for us, lasting for 30 weeks. By working in partnership with South Gloucestershire Council and The Alzheimer's Society, Bristol Rovers' project is looking to engage people aged over 60 and people with dementia in weekly physical and social activities in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
We intend to offer a variety of mentally, physically and socially stimulating activities that will look to enhance people's agility, balance and coordination, as well as muscle strength and mobility.
