WALSALL AND HEREFORD DVD AVAILABLE

Posted on: Fri 20 Mar 2009

Bristol Rovers climbed into the top half of League One, with a chance of a late run into the play-offs, thanks to two superb away wins in less than a week.

You can now celebrate that success with this special double-disc souvenir DVD priced at just £12.95.

As the coverage was provided by the home clubs, there is no commentary with the footage.

Hereford 0 Rovers 3 (March 10, 2009)

Rovers earned their first ever win at Edgar Street, against a Hereford team that had beaten Leeds United there three weeks earlier and had previously conceded only 15 goals at home all season.

Rickie Lambert - captaining the side for the first time - scored his second hat-trick of the season, as Rovers completed an emphatic double over the Bulls, who had been thrashed 6-1 at the Mem in August.

Ryan Green made a triumphant return to his former club, and played a part in all three goals, which saw Rickie reach 24 in the League for the season: a total bettered only by Bruce Bannister and Jamie Cureton in the last 45 years.

Walsall 0 Rovers 5 (March 14, 2009)

Since entering the Football League in 1920, Rovers have only twice enjoyed a bigger away victory than this.

Darryl Duffy reached double-figures for the season with two more away goals, and Craig Disley scored also; but the headlines must go to Aaron Lescott, who ended a six-year goal drought with two superb strikes.

Rovers played some fantastic football, ripping through the Saddlers with precise passing and deadly finishing, and completed a magnificent run of eight away games in which they had scored fifteen goals and conceded just three.

The dvd will be available to buy in the club shop before Saturday's match against Peterborough, and is available to order online now, by clicking here.
