Paul Trollope says Rovers must aim to follow up the weekend victory over Leyton Orient with back-to-back home wins.
The Pirates entertain Colchester United at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday, and then Cheltenham Town three days later.
"Our home form has been ok, but we know it can be improved," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "We've had a few good wins, and also a few defeats that we know we should have done better in.
"But after four points on the road, these two home games are good for us, and we've got a free week tp prepare for them as well, which is crucial.
"We had to wait a while for a chance to begin 2009 positively with the two postponements, but with the win under our belts we can now look to move further up the table over the next few weeks.
"If we can keep the form going then we should see ourselves move to a comfortable mid-table position, and then we need to really establish ourselves as a top half side.
"Colchester are a good side, and with a new manager now they've picked up and have moved themselves up the table.
"We're mindful of that, and we'll pay them a lot of respect because they're a good side. But we want to build on the last couple of games, and a win for us this weekend is what we're looking for."
