Paul Trollope wants his players to get back on track with three points against Swindon Town this Saturday afternoon.

The first team coach saw his side beaten twice by the Robins last season, and knows how important winning this weekend can be.

Rovers have lost their last three league and cup fixtures going into the match, and Paul says it's crucial to halt the bad run of results as soon as possible.

"It's the next game, so it's the most important one," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "It's a derby game, which adds a bit of spice to the fixture, but for us we want to bounce back from the disappointment of losing to Scunthorpe with a good home win.

"We've played two of the top teams in our last two league games, and we more than matched them both. We should have got something out of both games, and we need to make sure we get back on track this weekend.

"We're confident we can, but we need to make sure we play the football we know we're capable of, show a good work ethic, and make better decisions at important times. If we do that then we're confident we can come out with a result.

"Swindon though will be a difficult test, they have some very good players and at the moment many of them will feel they have a point to prove.

"They have a caretaker manager in charge, and they will want to impress for whoever takes over the position for good.

"Last season they did the double over us, and that was very disappointing from our point of view. I'm not one for vengeance, but this is a game we're very much looking to win."
