Players and officials from Bristol Rovers and Bristol Rugby Club stood by the Memorial Gates at the Memorial Stadium for a two-minute silence this morning.

The last post was played, and a few words of remembrance were spoken in memory of those who lost their lives during World War I, World War II and other conflicts.

Director of football Lennie Lawrence, first team coach Paul Trollope as well as the rest of the Pirates squad were in attendance, as a brief ceremony was held to mark the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
