Paul Trollope has this afternoon been confirmed as the League One Manager of the Month for October.

The first team coach fended off challenges from Roberto Di Matteo of Milton Keynes Dons, Danny Wilson of Hartlepool United and Darren Ferguson of Peterborough United to scoop the award, presented to him ahead of training this morning.

Rovers went unbeaten throughout October, picking up four points from away trips to Colchester United and Huddersfield Town, and winning three consecutive home fixtures against Leyton Orient, Oldham Athletic and Southend United.

After being presented with the Coca-Cola sponsored trophy, Paul praised the contribution of his entire squad.

"It's an honour to win the award, but it's not just down to me," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk.

"All the players worked very hard during October, and a lot of people behind the scenes deserve praise as well.

"October was a good month for us, we recorded some decent results and it helped move us up the table.

"We had a disappointing weekend at Leicester, but we hope that what we produced in October is a measure of what we're capable of for the rest of the season."
