Paul Trollope says this weekend's game against Leicester City has all the makings of a "fantastic" occasion.

Rovers travel to the Walkers Stadium to do battle with the former Premier League club, having remained unbeaten in October and rocketed up to number one spot in the League One form guide.

Around 2,500 Gasheads are set to make the trip to cheer their team on, and Paul says it's a challenge he and his players are looking forward to.

"It's going to be a great game, and for us to take that many supporters is fantastic," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk.

"The atmosphere should be superb, it's a fantastic stadium with terrific home support, and we know it's a tough game and a challenge for us.

"But it's a challenge I think we're ready for, if we could choose any time for us to play Leicester it would be now because we're in decent form. We're confident going there, and we're looking to get something from the game.

"They've got good attacking players with plenty of pace and ability, and we will need to contain them well if we're to get anything from the match.

"We'll try to impose ourselves and pass the ball around, and ultimately get the ball into our strikers who've done very well in recent weeks.

"You always try to start games well, but especially early on you don't want to give the home fans a lift. So we have to make sure we're solid at the start, and build from there.

"In recent years we've had a knack of going to big stadiums and performing well, so hopefully we'll be able to do that again this weekend."
