ELLIOTT COULD PLAY A PART
Steve Elliott could make a return to the Rovers substitutes bench for this weekend's League One clash with Leicester City.
The defender trained with the rest of the squad yesterday, and will travel to the Walkers Stadium ahead of Saturday's game.
And with cover in defensive areas looking stretched, first team coach Paul Trollope says there is a chance Steve could be named amongst the matchday 16.
"Steve trained with us on Thursday and he'll travel up with us," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk.
"Whether he's involved or not we're not sure, probably not if I'm honest, but we'll see.
"He'll do some work on the way up, and if needs must he may appear on the bench.
"But the progress he's made has been very good, he's done everything well and he's taken some big strides towards getting back to full fitness."
Meanwhile, Joe Jacobson and Ryan Green both came through a reserve friendly with Exeter City on Wednesday, and are both set to travel to Leicester.
"Ryan and Joe both came through a reserve game on Wednesday, so they'll travel with us as well," Paul confirmed.
