Paul Trollope says fans are starting to see the new 4-1-3-2 formation make a difference in performances and results.

Rovers remained unbeaten throughout October, and ended the month with impressive victories over Oldham Athletic and Southend United.

Leicester City provide the next test for the Pirates, and Paul believes his team can continue to get better and better.

"I'm happy that we're scoring goals freely now, and that generally we seemed to have tidied up at the other end as well," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk.

"There's still work to do but it shows that the system is evolving. We said it would take time for individuals to learn their roles and responsibilities, but it seems to be getting better and better with each game.

"It was always a good formation for away matches, but in home games now it's really starting to make a difference.

"Craig Disley, Chris Lines and Jeff Hughes have vital roles to play, and as well as giving us good with, they're also popping up in central areas causing problems for our opponents.

"In the past with 4-4-2 we found it hard to get out of our own half, but now we're defending and attacking a lot better, and there have been some very good performances from back to front lately."
