Paul Trollope has indicated that Craig Hinton will carry on in the centre of defence against Leyton Orient this weekend.

The defender has played in both of Rovers' last two matches, which saw clean sheets against Crewe Alexandra and Colchester United.

Steve Elliott had been looking to add some pressure on the former Kidderminster Harriers man, but Paul has revealed it's almost certain to be Hinton that gets the nod tomorrow afternoon.

"Steve suffered a setback in training towards the end of this week, he tweaked his calf, and although we don't think it's too serious it looks like he's not going to be available," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk.

"But since Craig's come into the team he's done well, and Steve Elliott's dead leg has been a window of opportunity for him.

"He was on the bench against Crewe, and sometimes circumstances like that just happen for you in football.

"He's gone in, defended well, and his marshalled the back line with his experience and communication.

"The two clean sheets we've kept while he's been in the side speak for themselves, and we'll be looking for another one this weekend."
