Paul Trollope is targeting a run of back-to-back wins this month as he looks to guide Rovers back up the League One table.

The Pirates suffered a miserable September, losing four matches in a row and only collecting two league points all month.

But recent improvements in form brought about a three-point haul at Colchester United last weekend, and Paul wants more of the same against Leyton orient tomorrow.

"We're looking to win a few on the trot now," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "We were very pleased with the away win last week, and we want to follow that up this weekend.

"A few more results like that pushes you right up the table, and you can see that because it's still early days the league table is close. Stringing a few results together can see you rise up the division nicely, and that's what we're looking to do.

"We're in a positive frame of mind, and the focus all week has been on making sure we reproduce the level of performance we produced at Colchester this weekend."

Orient have had a similar start to the season as Rovers, with only two league wins to their name so far.

"Leyton Orient have added one or two bits and pieces to the team from last year, but it's mostly the same personnel," said Paul, "They seem to progress every year with Martin Ling in charge, so maybe they'll be a little disappointed with some of their results of late and they'll want to put that right."

Paul believes that October has the potential to be a pivotal month, and he knows how key the home fans could be tomorrow.

"We're looking to boost our league position, and the fans are crucial to that," he said, "Hopefully the result last weekend has alleviated a little bit of the pressure, and it will allow us to play our game without anxiety.

"When this group of players play well and pass the ball we are a good side, and if we can guard against anxiety then we're confident we can win the game.

"Leyton Orient are a team capable of scoring goals, but so are we, and if we can exploit their weaknesses and build on our defensive improvements, then we'll be looking to come out with three points."
