Danny Coles says he won't play with any extra pressure, if called upon to return to the Rovers starting 11 this evening.

The defender is in line to replace Byron Anthony in defence, following the red card handed out at the end of Saturday's 3-1 defeat against Walsall.

Rovers travel to Cheltenham Town looking to record their first away win of the season.

"I'm not putting any added pressure on myself," Danny told bristolrovers.co.uk, "I had a good week in training last week, and I feel ready for action now.

"My knee feels good, and I look forward to playing as and when I'm selected.

"The boys have had a couple of bad results, and it's very unlike us to be conceding so many goals. Last season it was the other way round, and we need to rectify that and quickly.

"If we don't sort it out, then we're going to find ourselves in a dogfight before the season's even started."

Danny says any suggestions that a lack of concentration is leading to goals being conceded needs to be rectified immediately.

"At times it's lapses in concentration that lead to goals being given away, and we've got to stamp that out of our game very quickly," he said.

"When you're on the pitch it's about being professional, concentrating and talking. You've got to do that for 90 or 95 minutes, however long the game lasts.

"If your excuse after a match is that you lost concentration then there's no point even saying it. You've got to be professional in your job from the first whistle to last."
