Stuart Campbell has described Rovers' defensive display against Peterborough United yesterday as "terrible".

The midfielder was part of the side that lost 5-4 at London Road, in a game that saw both teams perform poorly at the back.

The result leaves Rovers still chasing their first away win of the season, and Stuart knows it's going to be a hard week ahead on the training field.

"If you score four goals away from home, then you should win the game," Stuart told bristolrovers.co.uk, "But as a team our defending was terrible, and just not good enough.

"Our defending has been the foundation of our success over recent seasons, and normally we're good in that department.

"But the other night at Bournemouth and again against Peterborough we were poor at the back, so the focus all week in training has to be about amending that and putting it right for next Saturday's game.

"Last year scoring goals was our problem, this year keeping them out is the issue. It's hard to take too many positives from performances like that, but I know the lads here are 100 per cent committed to getting it right.

"Credit to Peterborough because they played well, and to their goalkeeper because he made some good saves, but from our point of view it just wasn't good enough defensively."
