KUFFOUR READY FOR HIS DEBUT
Jo Kuffour is hoping he'll finally be given his Bristol Rovers debut at Peterborough United tomorrow lunchtime.
The AFC Bournemouth striker moved to the Memorial Stadium a week ago, but has been sidelined whilst recovering from a bout of 'flu.
With a week of training under his belt though, Jo is looking forward to becoming a part of a successful team.
"I like it here a lot," Jo told bristolrovers.co.uk, "The lads have been great in helping me to settle in, and I can't wait to get started now.
"I hope to be involved this weekend, whether from the bench or whatever. Once you are involved in playing, you mix more and you feel more a part of the team.
"I don't expect to walk straight into the team, because the forward lads here have done so well. I'm prepared to fight for my place, and to wait on the bench for my turn to prove myself.
"When I first came here I had the 'flu and I wasn't ready to train. We agreed that I wouldn't play straight away, and that I'd get a full week of training under my belt first.
"It would have been nice to play against Leeds and Bournemouth, but it's always better if a player is 100 per cent rather than 70 per cent.
"I want to start my time at Rovers with flying colours, and whether that's this week or next week hopefully I'll be able to do that."
