Everyone at Bristol Rovers was saddened to hear of the recent deaths of two former players.

Winger Bryan Bush passed away on Monday 25th August after suffering a stroke the previous week.

Bush played for Rovers between 1947 and 1955, making 114 appearances and scoring 19 goals.

Former goalkeeper Ronnie Briggs also passed away recently after a short illness.

The Northern Ireland international played for Rovers between 1965 and 1968 making 35 appearances for the club.

The thoughts of everyone at Bristol Rovers go out to the friends and family of both players.

There will be a minute's silence for both Bryan and Ronnie at our next home game against Walsall on September 13th, and full obituaries will follow in the match day programme.
