Bristol Rovers are giving online Gasheads the opportunity to win a place in the club's official first team squad.

One lucky supporter will win a place amongst the class of 2008/09 and earn a contract for the duration of the 2008/09 season.

The prize includes a place in the first team squad, and the chance to pick any available squad number of choice (99 or below) for the whole season. The squad number can correspond to age, a favourite year, a lucky number, or anything else of choice.

The winning bidder will be registered as as club player on a non-contract basis and a copy of the documents and contracts from the signing will be made available to keep.

The winning bidder will be an official Bristol Rovers player from the moment of registration.

The prize also includes a 2008/09 home shirt with the winner's name and chosen squad number on the back, a photo with Paul Trollope or other member of the squad, as well as name, number and other details appearing in the club programme and on the club website.

The winning bidder can either claim the auction prize for themselves, or present it as a gift to someone else. An official letter from the club can be provided if required for this purpose.

The auction includes the following:

- A place in the 2008/09 Bristol Rovers first team squad
- A unique squad number for the 2008/09 season
- An official contract at the club
- Copy of official contract to keep
- Registration with the Football League
- A 2008/09 home shirt with name and squad number on the back
- A photo with Paul Trollope or a favourite member of the squad
- Name and squad number on the back of the club programme
- Name and squad number (and optional brief profile and photo) on the club website

The auction runs from seven days - from 3:30pm today until 3:30pm on Thursday 4th September.
