First Team Coach Paul Trollope was delighted with his side's win in their final match in Sweden.

Rovers won 1-0 courtesy of a Darryl Duffy goal, thought the win was marred by an injury to Joe Jacobson, who appears to have sustained medial ligament damage to his left knee.

"We are a little bit disappointed that Joe has picked up a knee injury. He cleared a ball forward and their player came in late on his ankle. Whilst his ankle is fine, the challenge opened up his knee and we think there may be some damage to his medial ligament, though to what extent we don't know. He will travel back with us on Sunday and we'll assess it throughout the week and he'll probably have a scan. He's been in fantastic form over the last few games, as he was today and we hope the injury isn't too serious and that we'll see him back in a few weeks.."

As for this afternoon's game, Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk "It was a very pleasing performance. You never know, coming into a game in a foreign country, the exact level of the opposition and their style of play, but they provided a good test for us.

"They were a physical side, pressed the ball very, very well and they had a few players in forward areas who were clever so it was a very good exercise on a hot afternoon. That made it even more difficult, but I was pleased with the players' application and their work ethic and we produced some very good football.

"I was also pleased for Darryl Duffy, who scored another goal. It was a fantastic finish and his movement looked very good and he and Rickie Lambert seem to be developing a good understanding and a good partnership."

A strong defensive dispaly was the key to a fine performance.

"That was the first ninety minutes that Danny Coles and Steve Elliott have played together, they showed very good concentration levels and we passed the ball well from the back, which is what we look for and it was good to keep a clean sheet.

"Steve Phillips made a couple of very good saves when he was called on, and he looked assured as well and even when we were forced to make changes, as a resuly of Joe's injury, we still looked cconfident and to have that base and that organisation ispleasing.

"The best sign of all is our play with the ball and our passing. Our movement is getting there and the composure and quality of Jeff Hughes on the ball shines out for us as and he complements the players we already have here."

Three games and intense training seesions has meant that it's been far from being a holiday for the tour party.

"The hotel and training facilities have been good, and we've managed to do some quality training between games which is not always possible when you have three games so close together. The results are secondary but it's obviously pleasing to get a couple of wins in the last two, as well as a couple of clean sheets.

"We learnt from the first game over here, and from the game against Torquay last week, as those performances showed there was a need to brush up on certain things and I think the last two games have shown that we are sharpening up our game.

"A few remiders of what we are about have sunk in, and the players have shown good progress as the week has gone on.The team spirit is excellent, and has been over the last couple of years, and it's pleasing from our point of view that the new players who have come in have integrated into it very quickly. It doesn't always happen like that when you have a tight knit group, but if you are the right type opf character you are allowed in.

"They have certainly been accepted ,and the time away has not only been good for the players to bond together, but also for the players and staff to be together.

"That is important because we are all one group, and it's been great that we have a little following of fans out here as well. We've had time to speak to them, which is important as they are a crucial part of it as well. They seem to have enjoyed the week as much as we have"
