The expected return of Rickie Lambert to the side on Thursday never materialised, but there waqs a good reason, as Paul Trollope explained.

"We looked at it," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk  "but decided to leave Rickie and a few senior players on the sidelines.

"We have another game this afternoon and we decided not to risk Rickie because of the type of game it was. MABI had some big defenders, who were tiring a little, and the last thing we wanted was for him to go on and pick up another injury.

"However, he will probably play ninety minutes against LB07 this afternoon, as will Darryl Duffy. We have been working with them on the training ground out here to try and improve their partnership and get their game together.

"This afternoon will be looking for a similar display, and result, to the one we enjoyed on Thursday.
