Defender Ryan Green started his first game since last November when he began Thursday's match against Malmo Anadolu and was delighted to be pulling on a Rovers shirt again.

"My Achilles is fine, which I'm very pleased about, because the pitches out here have been really hard. Now I hope to play twenty minutes or so against LB07 to complete a good week."

His rehabilitation programme is way ahead of schedule.

"When pre season began, my aim was to play in the game against Llanelli, and then, as time progressed, to play in the third match of this tour so I'm way ahead of schedule and very happy with the way things have gone so far.

"Hopefully, I can keep stepping up the training, and keep my Achilles strong, and go on to have an injury free season."

The road to recovery has been a long and lonely one.

"I spent a long time in the gym, on my own for much of the time, but I always thought I'd be back and now it's great to be playing football with the lads again and enjoying all the banter in the dressing room."

He played his part on Thursday, when Rovers scored four without reply against MABI

"The pitch on Thursday was in very good condition, but it was really hot out there. In spite of that, I thought we played some good football."

"They didn't hurt us at the back, if I'm honest, even though they were decent on the ball, but we put in a good team performance and Josh Klein-Davies scored four goals. Mind you, I'm glad he joined up with the Welsh squad on Friday, as he never stopped going on about it after the game!
