Rovers are hoping to announce a couple more pieces of significant pre-season news in the coming days and weeks.

Lewis Haldane is close to moving to Blue Square Premier side Oxford United on a season-long loan, although complete agreement between all parties has yet to be reached.

Wayne Andrews has been training with the club since the beginning of pre-season, and is now in the final stages of his rehabilitation from injury.

All being well, and barring no setbacks, the striker is likely to become a Rovers player in time for kick-off in the 2008/09 season.
