Richard Walker has this morning completed a season-long loan move to Shrewsbury Town.

The striker moves to Gay Meadow ahead of the 2008/09 campaign where he will see out the final 12 months of his Rovers contract.

First team coach Paul Trollope told bristolrovers.co.uk: "Richard has been a great servant to Bristol Rovers, he's made a huge impact, but he's moving on now and we wish him well.

"We're looking to shape the squad for the season ahead, and that means players going out as well as new players coming in."
