TROLLS CONFIDENT AHEAD OF FOREST
Paul Trollope says tomorrow's League One game against Nottingham Forest is one his players can really look forward to.
The first team coach is expecting a tough test at the City Ground, but believes his players have enough quality to come away with a result.
Forest are currently riding high in the play-off places, and Paul knows the former European champions won't have completely ruled out a top two finish.
"They are one of the big clubs in the division, and it should be a good game for us," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "They are embedded in the play-offs at the minute and I'm sure they will have aspirations of making a late run towards the automatic promotion places.
"So we are expecting it to be a tough game but a good one in a big stadium with a nice pitch. It's one to look forward to and it's one we're going into confident that we can get a result.
"We have regularly produced good performances against the bigger teams away from home, Swansea recently was a good example and Leeds we more than matched when we went to their place. I'd like us to go up there tomorrow and pass the ball and show what we're about, and hopefully win the game.
"We are going to need to be solid and right defensively, but we'll try to attack as much as we can and create chances in front of their goal. We're not going to go there and be gung-ho, but we aren't going to sit back and defend either."
With seven games to go until the end of the season for Rovers, Paul knows that his players still need to pick up a few more points to guarantee safety from the drop.
"I think looking at the table, and how many games we've got and other teams have got, one more win would probably be enough," he said, "We've got half an eye over our shoulder but we're by no means panicking.
"We've got the belief that we can win quite a few games between now and the end of the season. There's no major concern within the camp, and we're confident that if we keep producing the performances as we have been then we'll finish the season higher than where we are now."
