Danny Coles says the players must look on the draw against Yeovil Town as a point gained rather than two points dropped.

The defender felt the conditions at Huish Park made playing good football difficult, and admitted the elements had a negative impact on the overall spectacle.

"It was difficult to play in those conditions and the wind was a big factor in the game, but in the second half we probably played better against the wind than we did in the first half when it was in our favour," Danny told bristolrovers.co.uk.

"We are disappointed we didn't take all three points but look on it as another point gained.

"I don't think there were many goalscoring opportunities for either side to be honest but we always looked a danger from set-pieces and I had a header cleared off the line so we were unlucky in that sense. Their goalkeeper made good saves from Rickie Lambert, Chris Lines and Stuart Campbell as well so we did have chances.

"Some of the decisions went against us, and the referee has probably had better games but I'm not going to criticise him. In the second half we played much better and, on a personal note, I think I did as well."

The afternoon was marred for Rovers by the injury to Wayne Andrews that led to the striker being stretchered off in the first half.

"It was really bad news for Wayne Andrews and felt for him when he was stretchered off," he said, "I totally understand how he feels.

"He's come here and is in the changing room now and the lads are trying to pick him up a little bit because he's really down and we are bitterly disappointed.  For the time he was on he looked lively and was causing Yeovil a few problems straight away. We are trying to pick him up and give him a bit of a lift.

"There's always light at the end of the tunnel, as I know only too well having picked up a serious kne injury myself. When I was at Hull I damaged my cruciate ligament whereas Wayne looks to have damaged his medial ligament and hopefully that's all it is."

The game saw Danny line up as a full-back yet again, a position he says he's happy to play in.

"I've played at full-back before, although I do prefer being centre half," he said, "But it's a position I'm capable of playing in and I don't mind playing there.

"I've played in a few positions this season, as I had a spell in midfield as well, and so I'm just waiting to go in goal now!"
