Paul Trollope says his players go into tomorrow afternoon's FA Cup fifth round tie against Southampton in confident mood and decent form.
The first team coach hasn't talked about the game in too much detail since the draw was made, preferring instead to concentrate on a run of five League One matches.
But with those now out of the way and ten points in the bag, Paul is looking forward to the nostalgia of the cup returning to the agenda once again.
"The wait is finally over and we can now turn our attention to the game," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "There were five games between the draw and the tie, and in that time we've collected ten points which we're pleased with.
"Now we're very much looking forward to Saturday, and to producing against Southampton the same kind of performance as we have of late. If we do that then we'll make a decent game of it, and it should be one to savour.
"The FA Cup is always special, from the first round right the way through, and we have done very well to get this far. But we're not satisfied and we want more, and this will be the toughest test yet for us.
"Southampton are a big football club with a tough side, and we are under no illusions as to how difficult it will be.
"We have done well to get to the fifth round and if it is to finish here and then we'll look back and feel we've done well, but that will also be tinged with disappointment that we couldn't get to the next level.
"We got to the fourth round last year, and we were disappointed then to go out against Derby because we felt we deserved something from the game. We don't want to be thinking the same things this time around.
"We want the same kind of performance as we've been producing of late, and if we can stick our chances away when we have a realistic chance of winning.
"We want to get through to the quarter-finals and we believe we can - any game of football is winnable, and that's what we'll be looking to show on Saturday lunchtime.
"We're very focused, right through the squad. We've played a lot of big games over the last year for a lower division club, and in all those games there's been a real concentration and focus, and we've generally done well.
"We'll need that on Saturday if we're to go through. We're not playing the occasion or the cameras, we want to stay focused and if we do that and produce a performance then we have the belief we can win."
