Paul Trollope is looking for his players to make progress on two different fronts this week.
The first team coach wants his players to book their place in round two of the FA Cup with a win over Leyton Orient this evening, and then see off Swindon Town in League One on Saturday.
"We've got an FA Cup replay with the prospect of a Conference side at home to look forward to in the next round," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "For both ourselves and Orient you look at that as a route through to the third round, if you produce a good standard of performance.
"That is the aim for us - we've had a good three results and we're pleased with those, but we want to continue that progress by making it through to the next round of the cup and by moving into the top half of the table again."
Rovers beat Millwall 2-1 at the weekend to notch up their first home three-point haul of the season, but it wasn't until the final 15 minutes that Paul saw his side start to play to their potential.
"If you compare the first 15 minutes to the last 15 minutes on Saturday it was like watching two different Bristol Rovers sides, and we've got to try and help the lads be more like they were later in the game," he said.
"Sometimes it's about letting yourselves play and enjoying the game, and maybe that will be easier now we've got the first win out of the way. We've won at home now, so hopefully that's a monkey off our backs and we can go out and play without that in the back of our minds."
Paul is hoping a good crowd turns out for tonight's game, with an entertaining match on the cards.
"It's a cup tie at the Mem under the lights, and it's one to look forward to," he said, "They are a passing side, they like to go forward, and we feel that we are positive as well.
"So hopefully we'll see a good game of football, but with goals only going in at the right end from our point of view."
On the injury front Rovers have ongoing concerns over Craig Disley, while Steve Elliott (calf), Chris Carruthers (ankle) and Sammy Igoe (foot) are fresh worries for Paul.
"There are a few bumps and bruises," he said, "We'll assess them ahead of the game, and there may well be a few missing. But I'm sure whichever team we put out the players will be more than capable of producing a performance to beat Orient."
