Paul Trollope said a draw was a fair result at Brisbane Road this afternoon.

The first team coach praised his players for coming back to earn a replay against Leyton Orient in what was an entertaining cup tie in East London.

We feel we deserved the draw," Paul told bristolrovers.co.uk, "We started the game brightly, and looked dangerous on the counter throughout.

"We were stretched a bit for the first goal which we'll have to look at on the video, but even at 1-0 down at half-time we knew we could come back.

"We said to the players with the wind behind us and playing down the slope that if we upped the tempo and turned the ball we could put them under real pressure. We did that well and we deservedly scored our goal.

"The first half we weren't spectacular, but the second half we were very good and to go away with a draw is pleasing."

Rickie Lambert scored the equaliser for Rovers with just nine minutes remaining on the clock.

"Rickie's general play is always improving, and we looked a threat from our deliveries throughout the whole game," said Paul, "Our movement was good, and we're delighted Rickie scored another goal. He's been in good form lately, and that showed with his header."

Sammy Igoe, Chris Lines and Chris Carruthers all earned recalls today, and Paul had positive words for them all.

"The guys that came in did very well," he said, "Sammy Igoe has been disappointed lately with a lack of opportunities, but he came in today and showed his work ethic and his passing ability.

"Chris Lines also came in for only his second start and he showed what a good midfielder he is and that he is capable at this level. We were very happy with those two, and with Chris Carruthers who came back in on the left."
