Rovers could be forced to turn to youth, the loan market or goalkeeping coach Steve Book following a confirmed injury to Mike Green.

The Pirates number two shot-stopper broke a finger in Monday evening's 1-1 reserve draw against Plymouth Argyle, and has been ruled out of action for at least a month.

It means the club now has no recognised or registered cover for Steve Phillips.

Book has covered the number one spot in previous years, and Rovers will look to assess the situation thoroughly over the next 48 hours.
