Our matchday programme,‘The Pirate’, for tomorrow’s game against Woking contains all the usual news and views and costs just £3.

It’s packed with many features you won’t have seen on our website.

Manager Darrell Clarke pens his own notes, and this week we continue our feature that profiles the scholars in our Academy. In this issue it’s the turn of first year scholar Alfie Kilgour and there’s also an in depth interview with former player Tom Parrinello, now a member of the Academy backroom staff.

Stuart Sinclair and Matty Taylor are interviewed for this issue, and with both of them scoring their first goal in a Rovers shirt in the past week, check out what they have to say on the matter.

The featured player in this issue’s centre spread is Ellis Harrison, who talks about his games for the Welsh U-21 squad, who the biggest influence has been on his career and who his regular ‘cinema date’ is.

There’s news from the Supporters Club, Young Pirates, and Helpline, while the Fanzone page gives all of you an opportunity to participate, so if you have a birthday or anniversary or anything else you would like us to mention in the next issue, then please get in touch.

Are you related to a Rovers player from the Victorian era? If so, check out Stephen Byrne’s Victorian Rovers article and get in touch if you have any photos of players from over a century ago.

As well as the Victorian Rovers feature, the history pages feature season 1984/85 and also looks at programmes from that season as well as a glance at what we were listening to back then.

In addition, you can discover what football supporters were reading back in 1957 and fast forward to season 1994/95 as Rovers went on a journey that would eventually lead to Wembley.

Don’t forget the Chairman’s notes, either, as he reveals that he and Financial Director are undertaking the ice bucket challenge on the pitch during the half time interval of our match against Dover on 4th October.

There’s an eclectic mix of articles from a range of contributors, all of them Rovers supporters, so if you haven’t previously purchased a matchday programme when you’ve come to a game, try it tomorrow – you might be pleasantly surprised!
