GRAB A COPY OF THE PIRATE

20 April 2014

Pick up the latest edition of our match day programme

If you are going to the match on Easter Monday, why not pick up a copy of our matchday programme, ‘The Pirate’.

As usual we are issuing a 68 page issue for this League Two fixture against Rochdale, who are hoping for automatic promotion. As we need points to stave off then threat of relegation, it promises to be an enthralling encounter.

Manager Darrell Clarke pens his programme notes and this week’s big interviews are with Ollie Clarke and Mark McChrystal.

Our six page history section is a must for those interested in the past and we continue a fascinating series concerning the Supporters Club, which is celebrating its centenary this year, as well as taking a look back at the promotion winning side of 1973/74.

We also have news and views from the current Supporters Club, Young Pirates, Education Department, and the Community Department.

Chairman Nick Higgs is a regular contributor to our matchday magazine, as is Director Ken Masters and a number of supporters, thus giving you a truly eclectic mix of articles to read.

Our youth section this week brings you a report on the final league game of the season, one which saw the U-18’s finish runners up in their league, and a profile of first year scholar Laurent Davis-Wilson. In addition, we run an interview with first team performance analyst and fitness consultant Mark Hammond.

Take a look, also, at the old photograph reproduced on page 66 – these old photos are generating a fantastic response and one of our former players, Vic Barney, has been in touch regarding the one that appeared in the programme for the game against Torquay United.

Steven Gillespie features on the front cover of this week’s issue and also faces the questions in our centre spread.

Along with some superb photos of the current squad, match reports and a comprehensive statistical section, we think we bring you an outstanding matchday magazine.

Priced at just £3 ‘The Pirate’ is available from the club shop or sellers around the ground…don’t forget to buy yours!
