ROVERS TO TAKE ON CHELTENHAM TOWN AT THE MEM IN PRE-SEASON

20 May 2016

Bristol Rovers have today added another pre-season game to their ever increasing summer schedule.

Cheltenham Town will visit The Memorial Stadium on Sunday 31st July for a game that will kick off at 3.00pm.

In the last two seasons both clubs have enjoyed a successful non-league campaign to return to The Football League at the first time of asking. Rovers did it via the play offs last year and Cheltenham as National League Champions this year.

The sides played a pre-season friendly at Whaddon Road last summer, with Gary Johnson’s side winning 2-1 in front of a crowd of 1,100.

The club hopes to be in a position to announce two prestigious home pre-season games in the next 10 days, but just to recap games have already been arranged against Mangotsfield United, Salisbury, Bath City, Weston super Mare, CF Sabadell as well as this one against Cheltenham Town.
