Discussions and planning for our pre-season trip to Spain, where we will play Sabadell, are ongoing and took a significant step forward this week.

Those present included Director Barry Bradshaw, along with club representatives and John Kayes and Stuart Harding who have put in a great deal of work behind the scenes to make sure our visit goes without a hitch.

We should, first of all, advise you that the kick off time for our match against Sabadell on 26th July has been brought forward to 7.00pm from 8.00pm.

Secondly, we are delighted to say that John and Stuart have offered to advise supporters wishing to travel to Spain, whether it be for a week or just a few days, of flight and accommodation details.

However those supporters wishing to make their own transport and accommodation might like be aware of the following information;

Barry, who has been leading discussions regarding the tour said; “Although the tour doesn’t take place until July, there remains a great deal of preparatory work to be undertaken.

“John and Stuart have been following the fortunes of Sabadell for a number of years now and are well known to that club’s officials. In addition, they have experience of organising trips over to watch Sabadell play and have holidayed in Santa Susanna on a number of occasions.

“Their involvement will relieve pressure on the staff of the Football Club and I am extremely grateful to them for offering their help to supporters who are hoping to travel to Spain to watch the match between Bristol Rovers and Sabadell.

“There has already been a great deal of interest from our supporters and by contacting John or Stuart they will benefit from some excellent advice.”

Further updates on the tour, including the cost of admission to the game will be notified as soon as possible.
