PREVIEW: ALFRETON TOWN (H)

25 April 2015

A quick look at today's opponents

Bristol Rovers go into today's final fixture with a chance of winning the Vanarama Conference title.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to get a vital three points in the final regular fixture of the season.

Team News: Only Stuart Sinclair and Neal Trotman are long term absentees for the fixture.

Darrell's View: "Alfreton are under massive pressure themselves because they need to better Welling's result having drawn with each other last week.

"Nicky Law is obviously not in a nice situation but they are going to come here and give everything they've got but we need to make sure that we don't leave anything in the changing rooms and then whatever happens else where we can't control.

"We have to win our game and then whatever else happens, happens."

Opposition: Alfreton currently sit on the brink of relegation from the Conference as they sit in 21st position tied on points with Welling with Town needing to better Welling's result to remain in the Conference Premier for another season. However, Nicky Law's side haven't won in their last eight outings but will be desperate to get a result in front of today's expected record breaking crowd.

Dangerman - Karl Hawley: The journeyman forward is Town's greatest threat in front of goal leading the clubs goal scoring charts for the season with 10 goals in his 34 games. With over 300 career appearances at a variety of league clubs, Hawley will be looking to be the man to keep Alfreton in the Conference for another season.

Last Time Out: These two sides shared the points after a goalless draw at the Impact Arena back in November.
