PICK UP A COPY OF OUR MATCHDAY PROGRAMME

1 May 2015

Our matchday programme, ‘The Pirate’, for the second leg play off semi final against Forest Green Rovers contains all the usual news and views and costs just £3 for a bumper 64 page issue.

Packed with many features you won’t have seen on our website, ‘The Pirate’ has picked up two Programme of the Year Awards this season.

Manager Darrell Clarke pens his own notes, and this week we catch up with the latest match reports for our U-18 side and bring you photos of U-18 Player of the Year  Tyler Lyttle and Scholar of the Year Harrison Trueman.

We bring you three major player interviews, with Matty Taylor, Mark McChrystal and Stuart Sinclair, while the centre page spread is given over the awards presentations that have taken place out on the pitch in recent weeks.

There’s news from the Supporters Club, Young Pirates, and Helpline, while the Fanzone pages are given over to photos of supporters at the Alfreton and Forest Green games.

It’s some 50 years since Rovers recorded their last 7-0 win and last Saturday’s win against Alfreton by that score was only the ninth time the club has achieved that particular feat. Stephen Byrne talks us thorough those games, while Mike jay takes a look back at previous play off campaigns and Chris Chappell highlights our own, and Forest Green’s, history in games played over two legs.

Also in our history section we feature season 1993/94 and look at programmes from that season. In addition, we also fast forward to season 1994/95 as Rovers went on a journey that would eventually lead to Wembley.

There’s an eclectic mix of articles from a wide range of contributors, all of them Rovers supporters, so if you haven’t previously purchased a matchday programme when you’ve come to a game, try it and see – you might be pleasantly surprised!
