Nuneaton Match Pack

16 September 2014

All you need to know ahead of tonight's game!

Rovers will be going into tonight’s game looking to build on their first away win of the season whilst maintaining their unbeaten run at the Memorial Stadium.

Opposition: Nuneaton currently sit in 18th place in the table with only two wins in their nine games so far this campaign. However, coming off the back of two positive results in their last games against Forest Green Rovers and Aldershot the Boro will be looking to pick up their first win away from home.

Danger man – Andy Brown: The Boro front man leads the clubs scoring charts with two goals this season both coming at the James Parnell Stadium. The former Telford player signed for Nuneaton in 2012 and has gone on to make 83 appearances scoring 31 goals. Having netted against Aldershot on Saturday Brown will be eager to increase his tally tonight.

Darrell’s View: “In their last two games they’ve drew with Grimsby and beaten Forest Green so there is no way we are going to turn up Tuesday night with the cigars out because we aren’t good enough to do that.

“Were not at that stage where we can think this is a three point banker, we’ve got to give respect to Nuneaton.

“They’ve picked up four points in their last two and we need to make sure that complacency doesn’t creep into our game.”

Opposition View: The Boro are without a manager since parting company with Brian Read and assistant Mark Noon has been given the task of taking charge of the team until a new manager is appointed.

Noon has changed the fortunes of the side with them picking up four points in the two games since his interim appointment. Noon said “Some of the blame has to be apportioned to me as well. I am part of that management team and it hasn't gone well this season over the first six games.

"It's about how you change it and move forward in order to keep this club in the league that we're in at the moment."

However, Noon will not be in attendance this evening due to an operation to remove pins from his leg.

Team News: With no injuries in Saturday’s win over Lincoln Darrell should have a fully fit squad to chose from.
