OLIVER NORBURN LEAVES BRISTOL ROVERS

4 April 2014

Midfielder leaves by mutual consent

Oliver Norburn has today left Bristol Rovers by mutual consent.

The midfielder, whose contract was due to expire at the end of the season, has been allowed to leave the club early to pursue other options.

First Team Manager Darrell Clarke said: “Ollie has left the club, and that was mutually agreed.

“For whatever reason it has not gone well for Ollie this season. Ollie has a chance now to try and earn himself a contract at another club, and we wish him well and thank him for his efforts.”

Ollie spent three months on loan with Rovers during the 2011/12 season and joined us on a permanent basis in the summer of 2012.

In total, he appeared in 36 games in all competitions last season, and was rewarded with a new contract in the summer of 2013.

Ollie scored his first goal for the club in the 3-1 win against Northampton on 6th October.
