MEMORIAL GATES FALL SILENT

11 November 2013

Bristol Rovers and Bristol Rugby take part in Memorial service

Players and officials from Bristol Rovers and Bristol Rugby Club stood by the Memorial Gates at the Memorial Stadium for a two-minute silence this morning.

The last post was played, and a few words of remembrance were spoken in memory of those who lost their lives during World War I, World War II and other conflicts.

Manager John Ward and the rest of the Pirates squad were in attendance, as a brief ceremony was held to mark the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

They were joined by pupils from Stoke Park Primary School who came to the ceremony to represent the children of the area.
