MATCH PREVIEW: MORECAMBE (A)

3 October 2015

We take a quick look at today's opponents!

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to build on Tuesday's win at Hartlepool.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to continue their fine form away from the Memorial Stadium.

Team News: Will Puddy is the only long term absentee for the Rovers squad.

Darrell's View:”It's our second away game in under a week but we will be ready for it.

"We put in a good performance on Tuesday [against Hartlepool] but that won't mean anything unless we get another good result today."

Opposition: Morecambe currently occupy 12th position in SkyBet League Two having picked up 14 points from their 10 games so far this season. Last time out Jim Bentley's men lost 1-3 to Luton Town at the Globe Arena thanks to goals from Luke Wilkinson, Cameron McGeehan and Jonathan Smith.

Dangerman - Thomas Barkhuizen: Barkhuizen joined Morecambe on 17 October 2014 on a one month loan. The next day, on 18 October 2014, Barkhuizen made his debut as a second half substitute for Paul Mullin, the Shrimps won the game 2-0 against Burton Albion.

In May 2015, Barkhuizen joined Morecambe on a two-year deal, becoming Jim Bentley’s first signing of the summer. Barkhuizen has been in good form in front of goal this season scoring three goals in the league with one coming in his last outing against Luton Town.

Last Time Out: Rovers secured all three points in a tight affair at the Mem with Kaid Mohamed's 90th minute strike.
