MATCH PREVIEW: LEYTON ORIENT

29 August 2015

A quick look at today's opponents

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to keep their unbeaten run away from home going.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to secure another three points on the road and put an end to Leyton Orient's 100% start in League Two.

Team News: The game might come too soon for Will Puddy, Mark McChrystal and Daniel Leadbitter.

Darrell's View:”We've got three positive results but that is over and done with now and we need to get another good result today.

"We know what they [Leyton Orient] will bring and you can tell they are a good side because they haven't dropped any points yet this season."

Opposition: Leyton Orient sit top of the SkyBet League Two table having won all four of their opening games this season. Orient have beaten Barnet, Dagenham & Redbridge, Stevenage and most recently Newport County so far this season scoring an impressive 11 goals.

Dangerman - Jay Simpson: Former Arsenal trainee Simpson signed a three-year deal with Orient last summer and has been in fine goal scoring form so far this season hitting the back of the net three times. The O's front man has scored in his last two games and will look to build on his eight goals in League One last season.

Last Time Out: Stephen Dawson grabbed a stoppage-time winner to earn Leyton Orient a Carling Cup third round trip to then Premier League side Blackburn Rovers.

David Mooney lobbed Scott Bevan to give Orient the lead, before Ben Chorley converted a spot-kick to put the O's two ahead.

After the break Chris Zebroski cut the deficit and Rovers substitute Elliot Richards levelled, but Dawson’s last-gasp winner put the Orient through.

Tickets: Supporters can still purchase tickets on the gate this afternoon.
