Today's game has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.The pitch was still playable at 11am, but after continued heavy rain, the referee Jame Linington took the decision to call off the game when he arrived at the stadium.
Chairman Nick Higgs said: "We are all devastated that today's game has been called off, we were all looking forward to the return of John Ward and we were expecting a big crowd to welcome him back to Bristol Rovers.
"However, we have to try and look at the positives, and we will now welcome John for his first home game in charge on New Year's Day - and hopefully it will be a great start to the year for everyone connected with Bristol Rovers."
