GRAB A COPY OF OUR MATCH DAY PROGRAMME

25 November 2014

Our matchday programme,‘The Pirate’, for the game against league leaders Barnet, contains all the usual news and views and costs just £3.

It’s packed with many features you won’t have seen on our website.

Manager Darrell Clarke pens his own notes, and this week we catch up with youth and reserve team match reports as well as feature U-18 skipper Louis Ezwele as our profiled Academy player.

Nathan Blissett features in his first interview for the programme and we speak to Lee Brown and Tom Parkes about their appearance for the England ‘C’ team last week.

The featured player in this issue’s centre spread is Dave Martin who is, by all accounts, a bit of a ‘bandit’ when it comes to his golf handicap!

There’s news from the Supporters Club, Young Pirates, and Helpline, while the Fanzone page gives all of you an opportunity to participate, so if you have a birthday or anniversary or anything else you would like us to mention in the next issue, then please get in touch.

In our history section Stephen Byrne looks back, in the second of a three part article, on Rovers in the First World War. If you are able to add anything, by way of information or photos to illustrate these articles, please get in touch.

As well as that, the history pages feature season 1987/88 and we also look at programmes from that season as well as a look at what we were listening to back then.

In addition, you can discover what football supporters were reading back in 1949 and fast forward to season 1994/95 as Rovers went on a journey that would eventually lead to Wembley.

There’s an eclectic mix of articles from a wide range of contributors, all of them Rovers supporters, so if you haven’t previously purchased a matchday programme when you’ve come to a game, try it tomorrow – you might be pleasantly surprised!

Cant make it to the game tonight but still want to read the programme? Never fear because you can order a copy from the Club Shop Webpage.
