FOOTBALL SHIRT FRIDAY

18 March 2015

Join the fight against bowel cancer

On Friday 17th April, the Bobby Moore Fund are asking the nation to wear their football colours with pride and make a simple £2 donation to the Bobby Moore Fund.

It does not matter who you support, since the only opposition on this day is bowel cancer.

Commenting on the idea, Stephanie Moore - the widow of England’s World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore who sadly passed away from the disease in 1993 – said:

"We wanted to let the Vanarama Conference know about an exciting new fundraising event, Football Shirt Friday, which the PFA are supporting and we seek to ask for your clubs and their fans to kindly get involved".

So hunt out that retro classic, pull on this season’s kit or brave the challenge of wearing a rival shirt and round up your family and friends within your club for a day of fun whilst also helping to beat bowel cancer sooner!

It is confirmed the Vanarama Conference will directly support this great cause by making the Bobby Moore Fund one of our nominated charities and part of our Congress In June.
