ROVERS GET TRANMERE AWAY IN FA CUP FIRST ROUND

27 October 2014

Bristol Rovers have drawn Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup First Round.

This evenings draw took place live from the National Football Centre that is St George's Park on BBC Two with Rovers ball number 62 was pulled out by four time FA Cup winner Phil Neville.

The tie between Tranmere Rovers and Bristol Rovers is due to take place on the weekend of November 8th and 9th at Prenton Park.

Rovers boss Darrell Clarke said of the draw against the League Two side; “It would have been nice to have landed a home draw, but Tranmere, who were a League One side last season, haven’t done too well so far this time around.

“It will be a difficult tie, of course, but once we have got Saturday’s game against AFC Telford United over and done with we will focus on the cup tie.

“Every club, at this stage of the competition, will be looking forward to getting through to the third round, and we are no different.

“Playing Tranmere is a game to look forward to and we will go there to give a good account of ourselves and, hopefully, win through to the second round.”
