DARRELL - INDIVIDUAL ERRORS COST US

31 January 2015

The managers post match thoughts!

Rovers twice lead against today's opponents Dartford with Darrell Clarke immensely frustrated at "another two points dropped".

"It just wasn't good enough today and my players know that.

"In our preparation before the game we said about giving set plays away and they scored two goals from set plays.

"Other than that I don't think they really hurt us and Steve Mildenhall doesn't have a real save to make.

"We have several opportunities to kill the game off with that little bit more quality but didn't and we didn't listen about their danger from set plays and I'm fuming inside.

"We lost two points at Aldershot from a winning position, we dropped two points away to Chester from 0-2 up and that's another two points today.

"These games are starting to cost us because I think I have the best team in the league.

"I want to develop a winning mentality, not just a non losing mentality and it is just silly individual errors that are costing us.

The pitch at Princes Park was questionable to say the least but the Rovers boss simply stated that his side needed to "just get on with it".

"It's the same for both sides so you just need to get on with it and it isn't something we can use as an excuse.

"It was a difficult surface today but the lads have given me everything but individual errors have cost us two points today.

"We scored a goal and then for me acted like we had already won the game but we needed to switch on again straight away and we didn't do that.

"I'm just so frustrated because we are at the business end of the season now with 14 games left and we want to win this league but we cant keep dropping points like we have done away from home.

Jermaine Easter left the field just 8 minutes into his full debut for the club with what appeared to be a knee injury with Darrell saying that it will need to be assessed.

"It seems like it is a strain but he will need to be assessed before we see where he is at.

"You have to be careful with knee injuries but as I said it is to early to tell at the minute.

"Him coming off is a massive blow for him and for us because all of our hard work goes out the window.
