CLARKE SIGNS NEW CONTRACT

20 May 2013

New one year deal for Ollie

Ollie Clarke has today signed a one year contract extension with Bristol Rovers.

Ollie, 21, came up through the youth system at Rovers, turning professional in 2009.

He enjoyed loan spells at Gloucester City and Mangotsfield United, before making his Rovers debut as a late substitute during the last game of the 2010/11 season.

Ollie then suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury on the first day of pre-season training, which was to keep him out for a large portion of last season.

Another injury kept Ollie out for periods of this campaign, but he has battled back and done enough to impress John Ward during the last few games of the season.

Chairman Nick Higgs said: “We are delighted that Ollie has signed a contract extension with us.

“He has worked extremely hard to come back from two injuries and has proved to John and his team that he has something to offer Bristol Rovers.”
