MATCH PREVIEW: BRISTOL ROVERS v BARROW A.F.C

2 December 2016

Rovers are in Emirates FA Cup action this Sunday against Barrow A.F.C.

Team News: Rovers will be without defender Jake Clarke-Salter, who's arm injury sustained in Tuesday's game required surgery this week. Goalkeeper Will Puddy is cup-tied and will be unavailable.

Marcus' View: "We know what Barrow are all about and we are expecting a tough physical game."

"The pressure is on us, we are playing at home against a non-league side who are a decent outfit, who have just broken a club record for the number of games that they have gone unbeaten, so we know that it is going to be a tough game."

Opposition: Barrow A.F.C occupy fourth place in the National League and are currently enjoying a 21 game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Dangerman - Byron Harrison: The striker is very much Barrow's form player this season, with sixteen goals to his name already this campaign.

The six-foot-three forward started his career at Stevenage after spells at various clubs at non-league level and went on to make just under forty appearances for 'Boro before switching to AFC Wimbledon in 2012.

Following a season-long stay at AFC Wimbledon, Harrison transferred to Cheltenham Town, where he scored eighteen goals during a two-year spell.

Brief spells at Chesterfield and a return to Stevenage on loan followed before the striker put pen to paper on a deal at Barrow in the summer.

The striker has scored five goals in his last three outings, including braces against both Guiseley and Dagenham & Redbridge in recent matches.

Last Time Out: Rovers beat Barrow in our last encounter, which was also in the FA Cup back in November 2011.

Goals from Byron Anthony, Craig Disley and Richard Walker helped secure a 3-2 win for Rovers on that day.
