GOS GOES OUT ON LOAN

16 January 2017

Rovers’ midfielder Jake Gosling has today joined National League side Forest Green Rovers, on loan, until the end of the season.

Forest Green, who beat Chester FC in the second round of the FA Trophy on Saturday, are currently second in the National League table, two points behind leaders Lincoln City.

A graduate of Exeter City's Academy, Jake went on to score once in 12 outings for the Grecians and during his Exeter career he enjoyed loan spells at Dorchester Town and Gloucester City.

The midfielder made his international debut for Gibraltar, against Estonia, in May 2014 and scored the goal that earned his country a 1-1 draw.

Having announced that he would be leaving Exeter, he subsequently put pen to paper on a contract with Rovers, arriving at the Memorial Stadium in June 2014.

Jake made his Rovers debut when going on a substitute in the opening game of the season, against Grimsby Town.

Jake scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win against Nuneaton Town on 16th September 2014.

Jake, who appeared in the Promotion Final Play Off game against Grimsby Town, in 2014/15, signed a new contract in the summer of 2015 and has resigned again as the club make the step up to League One.

He spent a short time on loan at Newport County last season, where he made six league appearances.

Jake, who joined Cambridge United in a six month loan deal on 17th August 2016 has not made a first team appearance for the club this season. His Rovers career to date has taken in 41 league games and three goals.
