EUROCAMS NEW HOME SHIRT SPONSORS

19 April 2013

Shirt sponsorship draw held today

Eurocams will be Bristol Rovers' home shirt sponsors for next season.

The company, based in Weston-super-Mare, was the first business to be pulled out of the velvet bag at this afternoon's shirt sponsorship draw.

Manager John Ward, who has just agreed a contract to stay with the club, then drew Highspec Travel Services as the away shirt sponsor.

Third prize – an elevated advertising board at the Memorial Stadium for next season – also went to Eurocams.

Home shirt sponsors Eurocams supply engine components and advertise at a number of other clubs including Swansea City and Cardiff, and Somerset Cricket Club.

They also currently sponsor the dug outs at the Memorial Staidum.

Owner Graham Masarik, who has been a Rovers fan since he was a boy, said: “I have been a Rovers supporter since I was a kid and I entered the draw first and foremost to support the club.

“It is fantastic to have won both these prizes, and it will get our name around in towns and cities around the country where people do not usually see us.

“It will be great to see people walking around with our name on their shirts.”

CR Windows, this year’s away shirt sponsor, took fourth prize – a perimeter advertising board at the Memorial Stadium, and Thatchers were drawn fifth and receive a programme advert for the 2013/14 season.

Stadium manager Ian Holtby said: “I am delighted that Eurocams have won two prizes, as Graham has been a fantastic supporter of the club over the years.

“This is exactly what the draw is designed for – for local companies to be able to get such a great opportunity.”

The draw was open to all members of the 1883 Sponsors Club - each member received a free entry.

The draw appealed to a wide cross section of people, attracting attention from large national businesses such as Blackthorn right through to local companies including Eagle coaches.

Representatives from each company were invited to watch the draw, and were each given their own draw cube to put into the velvet bag.

The five big winners were obviously delighted, but no one goes away empty handed. Everyone who entered the 1883 Sponsors Club will receive a table for 10 in hospitality and a signed football.
